Friday 4th November. Lydia and myself filmed Rebecca and Ella for their children's interview. Firstly we had to create forms for their parents to sign to ensure it was fine for them to film their children.
Once we had permission we recorded the girls playing with their various toys, dolls and teddy bears they had.
Once we had stock footage we then filmed the two girls separately and asked them several questions about their toys; what they like about them, dislike, what they would like to get for Christmas and which toy was their ultimate favourite. We had to make sure that we had the background correct and that the girls stayed in the frame.
Next we came back to school to edit out the questions, cut up the stock footage into separate clips so we could then put them in between their answers and placed them all together to make two interviews.

Interview with first Grandparent.
Thursday 3rd November. Myself and Lydia went to film an interview with Lydia's Granddad. We travelled to Birkenhead and interviewed him in his living room, we set the camera up and did sound checks to ensure the microphone was working, they then sat two teddy bears on the couch with Lydia's Granddad; one old and one new.
We then ensured that he was framed to the left properly and asked him several questions about toys and games he used to play when he was younger.
When we had finished with the interview they logged the counter numbers and started to edit it. We edited out the questions we asked to make the interview run smoother, we also added cutaways and stock footage in between/over answers.

Filming Adult (Miss Stewart).
Wednesday 2nd NovemberLydia and I had to interview an adult on their view of toys these days, we asked Miss Stewart, and asked her a series of questions.
We ensured that she was framed to the left but had to use a Big close up because we couldn't find an appropriate background that could provide the correct mise en scene without relocating the interview. We made sure the camera was on a tri pod, and attached a microphone to ensure that the interviewee could be heard in the interview.
Once we had filmed we then logged and captured the interview on Adobe premiere pro, we edited the questions out from in between the answers of the interview to make it run smoother when editing. Once we had edited it all out we then added cut aways over the top of the interviewees specific questions to make sure that there was no jump cuts through out the interview.

Filming toy shelf.
Wednesday 2nd November.Myself and Lydia constructed our own toy shelf from toys we had both collected we found a shelf in our media room which we cleared and added our own background too, the toys were a mixture of gender, age and stereotypes as we thought this would be perfect to introduce are documentary. We panned across the toys and zoomed in and out exploring a variety of different ways, we logged our footage and then captured it on premiere pro and later edited it to fit with our documentary, we will narrate over this section and have also included a music bed underneath of toy story's you've got a friend in me.

Vox pops.
Tuesday 1st November.Jess and Myself filmed a vox pop in liscard cherry tree centre outside game station. We asked 19 people the same question: 'What was your ultimate favourite toy as a child?'.
After filming everybodys answers we came back to edit them on Adobe Premiere pro, we then decided that two of the answers we filmed were not framed well enough to go into our documentary so we decided to cut them out.
We the moved on to cut out Jess asking the questions to every person and put all of the filmed answers together so they cut into each other, instead of having the constant question interrupting the flow of the answers in the vox pop.
